Our Standards
Third party verification standards assess the technical elements of a project, measure its carbon reduction capacity and determine its environmental and social impact on the local area. Credits verified by these standards are ensured to produce real, quantifiable emissions reductions and social and environmental benefits.
Gold Standard
The Gold Standard provides certification for both Compliance and Voluntary credits. The Gold Standard is recognized as the premium standard for carbon offsets. Supported by over 60 NGOs, including the Worldwide Wildlife Fund (WWF), Gold Standard projects undergo a strict verification process to ensure that emissions reductions not only are real and quantifiable, but also bring genuine sustainable development benefits to the communities in which they are built. Sustainable development benefits include but are not limited to infrastructure development, job creation and environmental and ecological preservation.
VCS Voluntary Carbon Standard
The Voluntary Credit Standard provides certification for Voluntary Credits. Certification requirements ensure that credits obtained from VCS verified projects have additional, measurable and permanent carbon reduction results. Projects are verified to ensure that they are not only beneficial to the global environment through carbon reductions but also beneficial to the local environments and communities in which they take place.
